Hey everyone,
We’re really excited to have you participating in DC Startup Weekend. We can’t wait to have you help create the future of the web in our nation’s capital (well, right next door in Falls Church — but you know what I mean). Here are the logistics for the weekend that you’ve all been dying for!
Location:
Viget Labs
400 S. Maple Avenue, Suite 200
Falls Church, VA 22046
(directions: http://www.viget.com/contact
Free parking is available on site. You can also take the Orange line to East Falls Church. See the directions above for the info — it’s about a 20-30 minute walk from the station.
A few notes:
- Friday we’ll start getting rolling at 6pm and run until about 11pm/midnight. Saturday and Sunday we’ll probably get rolling at 9am and go until 11pm/midnight.
- Feel free to come and go as you please! We hope you’ll stay for the whole weekend, but we understand some people have outside commitments.
- BYOL — Bring Your Own Laptop. Power and WiFi will be provided, but the equipment is all you (and software — that’s all you too).
- Food will be provided all weekend. You’re welcome to bring more food or beverages as you wish. Friday will be beer & pizza night!
- If you haven’t paid for the weekend, please do so asap. More info is at: http://dc.startupweekend.com

Finally, remember we’re here to have a good time. Friday night we’ll decide our project and break into teams. We hope everyone who comes has a great time and helps add to an amazing product.
Please don’t forget to check out our amazing sponsors. We appreciate the support they’ve given and thank them dearly for helping us put on the best Startup Weekend yet!
If you have any questions, feel free to drop me or Will and email. Vote for your top 3 ideas too! It’s your right as a participant!

The four big things to remember about the web application that we build is that it should accessible, easy to use on a mobile device (phone), coded in the language that make sense for the project, and be useful to the general public not just geeks.
thanks,

Anyone coming in from the District (particularly Capitol Hill) that’d be cool with giving me a ride?

I have paid the $20 for the buy in, but my name is still under the Wait List, does paying the $20 mean you will be allowed into the event?

@Ammar — don’t worry about the lists on the right anymore. That was just used at the beginning of the planning process.
If you paid your money, you’re welcome to attend.
