Especially a Geek community. One of the folks here, Paula, had a bad laptop crash, and needed a Windows XP disk to make her laptop come out of a horrible rebooting loop. A quick ask of the group, and 5 minutes later, Jared produced an install disk from his car. Another 5 minutes and Paula was back up and running.
New Tagline: “StartupWeekend: Where at least one person has an XP Install Disk.”

Obviously, I’m not a true geek, or I would never have Windows XP, right?
But mucho thanks to Micah, who spent a couple of hours in between Wii bowling frames trying to get me fixed, and Jeremy, who as it turns out, gave me a disk I didn’t even need. My computer just needed to sleep, apparently, like I did when I left at 12:30 a.m.
